Tampere is a relatively new member of NESU since the organization Nesu-Boomi ry was founded only in 2005. The chairperson also occupies a post in the board of Boomi, which means that Nesu-Boomi ry is a sub-organization of Boomi ry.

The board consists of six board members including the chairperson. The board is elected annually in the general meeting in November. This year the chairperson is Nelli Tamminen.

Traditionally Nesu-Boomi organizes five sits parties per year. Most importantly, Nesu-Boomi is a way to get in touch with other cities’ business students by having the opportunity to participate in conferences and sits parties elsewhere.

We were proud to be the host city for the NESU conference 2009 with the theme foundation for boom. The conference was very succesful with a number of 70 participants. For more information please turn to the official conference website http://www2.boomi.fi/nesuconference/.
